The purpose of the Troy Elementary School PTO shall be to develop and nurture a working relationship among parents, students, faculty, administration, and staff. In order to accomplish this, the PTO shall provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, engage in fundraising projects for the school, promote the school to the community, and plan programs designed to contribute to the betterment of each student, parent, teacher, staff member, and administrator.
The Pike County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the "Let's Eat!" program. Several local restaurants have agreed to donate a portion of their proceeds on a given day to the Chamber's PRAISE scholarship fund. This scholarship is given annually to the student in all of Pike County with the highest ACT score. For the past several years, a CHHS student has been the recipient of the $1,000.00 scholarship. The specific dates are:
November 12th-Momma Goldberg's
December 17th-Hook's BBQ
January 7th-Arby's
February 11th-The Pines
March 4th-Byrd's Drugs
March 25th-Quiznos
April 1st-The Pig Cafe
May 6 (tentative)-Zaxby's
June 3-Sisters'
